Loving the Fall Time of the Year

It is late, almost midnight, and my brain is beginning to go into sleep mode, so this will not be a long post.

Today I started walking again.  This time I am using a treadmill in the garage.  I am starting off at 1 minute and will gradually work my way up to 3 minutes once an hour.  I did walk 3 times today.

I did laundry today, and also got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the kitchen floor good.  My body will be sore in the morning!  The floor just needed more of a cleaning than a mop would give it.

The temps were down to 29* last night.  This morning there was a heavy frost on the rooftops and grass.

My favorite time of year is the fall.  I love how the weather turns colder, the vibrant colors of the tree leaves, the cozy warmth of the house with the yummy smells coming from the kitchen, and the soft glow of the lamps in the early evenings. Our high today was about 52* and it was sunny.

I called my parents yesterday for Thanksgiving... it was 95 in East County of San Diego.  I remember those hot days... sure does not feel like fall or Thanksgiving when it is as hot as that!  After moving back to San Diego from Iowa (I lived in Iowa for 12 years from 1988 through 2000), I missed the 4 seasons of the Midwest tremendously.

And now, I am missing my family tremendously, but loving the cool fall temps here on the East Coast.
